TAUS Undergraduate Theology Scholarship

TAUS is currently supporting ten undergraduate theology students.

On average, every ordained pastor in Tanzania serves 12 churches and about 2,000 baptized members. Pastors travel long distances to reach their church members because 70% of the churches are in rural areas.

 

To help address this problem, TAUS is currently supporting ten undergraduate theology students. The tuition cost for one student for a three year degree program is approximately US$3,000.

TAUS Heri Health College Midwifery Scholarship

TAUS is currently supporting midwifery students at Heri Health College.

This scholarship is designed for candidates seeking to enroll in the Diploma in Midwifery program at Heri Mission Hospital in Kigoma, Tanzania.

 

This scholarship aims to assist students in pursuing or completing their education by easing financial barriers and allowing them to achieve their academic and professional goals. TAUS seeks to empower individuals called to serve, particularly in healthcare and maternal health, by providing need-based educational support.

Scholarship Program Background

Tanzanian Adventists in the United States (TAUS) members are dedicated to supporting Tanzania Unions and local Conferences’ effort in preparing and educating qualified Theology students to meet the needs of an increasing church membership.

TAUS Scholarship Program started in 2016/2017. The Purpose of TAUS Scholarship Program is to provide scholarships to Theology or Religion students attending/will be attending University of Arusha in Tanzania or Bugema University in Uganda.

 

The scholarship is intended to help them pursue or complete their first-degree program in Theology or Religion. TAUS hopes that this Scholarship Program will empower church members who have demonstrated God’s calling to the gospel ministry in the designated area with need-based educational resources.
